Baby's Swedish Bassinet

Last Friday, I stopped by one of my favorite little furniture stores that is located in Madison Valley and found the sweetest 1940's Swedish bassinet.  A perfect little bed for baby to sleep in by my bedside for the beginning months.  The store is called Swedish Heirlooms and is owned by a lady from Sweden who brings all these wonderful home furnishings back from Sweden, refurbishes them, and sells in her little store.  She stripped this bassinet down and repainted it in milk paint, a common paint in Swedish home furnishings, in a beautiful buttermilk color.
I just knew Nimby would be tempted to hop right in and sure enough no longer than 10 minutes goes by having it in the bedroom, I find Nimby happy as a clam.  We'll have to get another bassinet for Nimby because baby will not be sharing with our very furry friend!

Mother's Day!

Last Sunday was my "1" Mother's Day, 23 weeks pregnant and I woke up to several distinct little kicks that Patrick could feel for the first time!  Baby must know it's our special day, what a way to start a beautiful Sunday morning.  Patrick gave me 3 dozen beautiful tulips from the Pike Place Market, they are absolutely stunning and so fragrant.  One of my favorite flowers.  It was a perfect day.

Patrick and I went for a walk around the neighborhood and down to Point White beach on May 6, 22.5 weeks pregnant and barley able to zip up my little sweatshirt.  The weather was so beautiful sun filtering through the clouds while raining gently, with a rainbow with a full arch!

Patrick and I took a little camping trip to Salt Creek on April 25, 21 weeks pregnant and feeling great!  The weather was sunny and warm, spring has arrived!  Salt Creek is only a couple hours west of us along the Olympic Peninsula over looking the Strait of Juan de Fuca and Victoria, British Columbia.  Our campsite was tucked away in a pretty little grove of trees, on a bluff hearing the waves crash and birds sing.  Around sunset we saw a seal!
